Hudson Street

157 Hudson St,
New York City, NY

VIEW PROJECT

Designed by Ben Hansen Architects, this Vella Group six-story mixed use residential and commercial condominium conversion of an existing warehouse in Tribeca was completed in 2012.

The development of 157 Hudson Street focused on authentic loft living at a discreet location situated on a charming lane in the heart of Tribeca, amidst sought-after residential buildings. Comprising of 105,000 square feet of residential conversion and new construction, the building’s richly-detailed brick façade exudes the quiet confidence that befits its origins as a classic horse stable and that comes from true substance in design, quality, and detailing.

The vision for this intimate collection of two, three and four-bedroom loft condominium homes was to return to the origins of loft living with massive room proportions, oversize windows, graceful cast-iron columns, and warmly-patinaed exposed brick.

Each one-of-a-kind residence has its own unique character and distinctive design elements including two glamorous penthouses: each with 4,000 square feet of interior space and 4,200 square feet of exterior. The exquisite Marble House, at over 9,000 square feet and custom-crafted by Stuart Parr Design, is the crown jewel of this Tribeca landmark.
